Every 15 seconds, someone is diagnosed with cancer. Last year, that statistic became personal when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. That moment changed everything. It forced me to become more vigilant about my health, but it also opened my eyes to how critical support systems are for patients and their families during treatment.
That’s why I’m proud to support the Shave to Save event, where participants shave their heads in solidarity with those battling cancer. It’s a powerful reminder that no one fights alone.
I want to do everything I can to help the next person who hears the words “you have cancer” know that they are not alone—and that the American Cancer Society will be there for them.
